A volunteering initiative whose impact continues to grow

The inauguration of La Bastida, Sant Joan de Déu’s new project aimed at preventing youth homelessness, marks another step in the transformation of Hort de la Vila, a facility that FORCADELL had previously supported through corporate volunteering.

Sant Joan de Déu has officially inaugurated La Bastida, a new residential project offering comprehensive support to young people in vulnerable situations. Developed through the partial renovation of Hort de la Vila, the project comprises 27 homes and aims to provide young people with a stable environment and the tools they need to move towards independent living.

This milestone holds special significance for FORCADELL. In 2024, a group of company employees volunteered to furnish the communal area of the Hort de la Vila Residential Inclusion Centre with new furniture. The centre, also managed by Sant Joan de Déu, provides support to people experiencing homelessness.

This initiative forms part of FORCADELL’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment and its dedication to maintaining active relationships with organisations working to improve the quality of life of people in vulnerable situations. Over the years, this commitment has also been reflected in other charitable initiatives, such as participation in Sant Joan de Déu’s Magic Line.

As a company operating in the real estate sector, FORCADELL recognises the importance of providing decent and suitable living spaces. We are therefore pleased to see Hort de la Vila continuing to evolve and create new opportunities for people.

At FORCADELL, we congratulate Sant Joan de Déu and all the individuals and organisations who have made La Bastida possible. Above all, we would once again like to thank our colleagues who took part in that volunteering initiative.
