Forcadell has advised Daumar on the relocation and expansion of its facilities in the province of Barcelona. Through this operation, the horticultural packaging manufacturing division will move into a 5,623 square meter industrial building, equipped with three loading docks and a height ranging from 8 to 10 meters, divided into two sections. The facility also includes office space for the company’s team, among other features.
To establish this new base, the company has chosen Barcelona’s Second Logistics Belt, specifically in the Can Bernades – Subirà Industrial Park, located in the town of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. This park also hosts the facilities of companies such as Zeleris, De Rijke, Picking Frama, Esbo, and Sending, among others.
Thanks to Forcadell’s mediation, the company not only expands its facilities with this industrial and logistics center but also secures a strategic location for it. The site is connected to major highways such as the AP-7 and C-33 and is close to Barcelona’s key transport hubs: 35 km from the port, 40 km from the airport, and 25 km from the city center.
In this regard, Gerard Plana, Director of Forcadell’s Industrial-Logistics Department, highlighted “the high demand generated by the industrial and logistics real estate stock located in the second belt, thanks to its strategic location, providing access to key transport routes and proximity to Barcelona and its major transport hubs.”
Meanwhile, Jordi Travé, Industrial Director of the Daumar Group, emphasized that this new production and logistics center, with fully equipped facilities, substantially expands the group’s activities in its horticultural packaging manufacturing division. It also enables the increased production capacity necessary to meet market demand and improve service to their clients.
Daumar is a company with more than 70 years of history. It is part of a vertically integrated industrial group with extensive experience in manufacturing and marketing packaging solutions for the food and horticultural sectors. This includes everything from machinery used for weighing and packaging processes to the production of woven or extruded mesh packaging, printed film, labels, and other accessories.
With this new production center, the Daumar Group will now have six production facilities across Spain and the United States to support its manufacturing activities.
